At Lehman Farms there are trainers available to suit every skill level and goal. Whether you are just starting out and would like to learn to ride English, or have been riding your entire life and want to compete on the rated show-circuit, we welcome you to schedule a lesson at our farm. We offer one-to-one training for horses of all levels and experience upon request. Whether you are working with a young prospect, or a seasoned show horse, we are happy to help your horse excel. We offer two different barns for boarding your horses at Lehman Farms. Boarding includes daily turnout, stall cleaning, water, hay and oats. Whether your horse is boarded in our show barn or pole barn, our farm staff will ensure that your horse is happy and healthy! Specialty feed options, such as pellets or sweet feed, are available upon request for an additional charge.
Full and half-lease options may be available on one of our farm-owned horses. To lease a horse, you must take lessons at least once per week with one of the farm trainers. Leases are available to Lehman Farms students for short-term or long-term periods of time during the year. If you are interested in leasing a horse, please talk to your trainer directly.
Our trainers accompany clients to many horse shows in the area and throughout the region. Whether you are interested in showing in a lesson series horse show, or on the A-Circuit, we are happy to help you reach your goals. Lehman Farms is happy to host both IEA and IHSA competitive riding teams. Our IEA team caters to middle school and high school students who would like to participate and compete as part of a team. Similarly, the IHSA team caters to college students (attending RIT) who would like to participate and compete as part of a team. Lehman Farms offers summer horsemanship sessions each summer. This is a chance for kids ages 6 and older to get their fill of horse-related activities and fun! Students will ride, learn about horsemanship, help with barn chores, do arts-and-crafts, meet other horse-crazy kids, and have fun! Sessions run Monday through Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm. Sessions are $475 each week, with a $100 non-refundable deposit due at registration. Sessions are limited. First come, first served. For more information, please email lehmanfarmsequestrian@gmail.com.
